I asked my buddy Dylan if he would like to sail to the Carribean, he said "yes, not now though. want to sail to Maine?" A perfectly timed opportunity to get away, regain my spirit, and clear my head after a rough couple weeks. It has been thouroghly challenging, scary, and amazing. The weather was perfect for the first couple days out of the Chesapeake and into the Atlantic, that quickly changed as we entered the Long Island sound. We soon realized this was no joyride, we are in the North Atlantic in March. Clutching for our lives, pulling sails down in near gale winds, torn sails sown and duct taped back together, EVERYTHING damp and cold, and so on. A very humbling experience and one of the best. We are currently in Plymouth Mass. waiting for the winds to die out, hopefully we will be pushing onward tomorrow. Sorry no pics of the gnarley stuff, we were a little too busy to take photos.
